One of our first awarded competitions back in 2005, this proposal was all about efficiency: Minimun travel distances, maximum number of offices with largest facade lenght, sunlight protection and insulation for minimum energy consumption, specially for the west an east orientations. The elevated podium is proposed in order to protect the ground level facilities and entrance lobby from the sorrounding parkings. On the other hand, the proposed facade becomes an landmark in the sorrounding neighbourhood, the pixelated theme reminds the traditional local tiles decorations while its rotating fins can react to the sun exposure and completely cover the windows. The sensible work inside is not affected by excesive west sun in the summer seasson.
